Whether you’re looking for fun Mother’s Day ideas or you’re simply craving some time to yourself, taking some "me time" can make a huge difference in your life. Busy entrepreneur and mom of 2, Allison Schaaf, shares how she carves out time for herself.

What this looks like for me:

  • 24 hours - it doesn’t have to be 24 hours, but a solid block of time.
  • No work or email
  • Only things that are for me (reading, journaling, relaxing)
  • I do not use this time to catch up with friends or be social, it’s just time to myself.

If you’re not in a season of life where this is possible. It doesn’t have to be 24 hours, it could be a couple of hours at a coffee shop. Or maybe you don’t have the budget for a hotel right now, but you could stay at a friend’s house who’s out of town.

Think about what you need in the moment. Is it time to focus on a work project or time to relax completely and reflect? Ask for what you need.
